Born
Jerome Anthony Rhyant in Fort Pierce, Florida to two very proud
and loving parents, Odessa and Pastor Thomas Rhyant, Sr. young
Jerome grew up in and around gangs and much violence in the
neighborhood that he called "home" but Jerome's
father's answer to the "mean streets" was always to
use his most powerful weapon to fight his battles... that weapon
of choice was the Word of God to keep his four sons focused on
their dreams. Thomas' strict philosophy for his sons were three
unconditional house rules... you had to sing, work, and go to
church. |
|
| Inspired
by singers with high falsetto voices such as his older brother
Thomas Jr., legendary soul singer Peabo Bryson and Phillip
Bailey of the universal hit act "Earth, Wind, &
Fire" Jerome started singing at the tender age of five
along with his three talented brothers performing at various
events in different parts of the country calling themselves
"The Rhyant Singers". Little did Jerome know that one
day all of his tireless efforts would lead him to one of the
biggest record producers in the history of the music business.
Maurice Starr, "The General" known around the world
for discovering, producing, and managing pop teen icons
"New Kids On The Block" and R&B hit teen sensation
"New Edition". Starr's music has sold over 500 million
records, generated more than 6 billion dollars in revenue and
earned him hundreds of gold and platinum records from all around
the world. |
|
| After
being introduced to Starr by classmate Ed Williams, Starr could
not believe the incredible vocal ability of Jerome Rhyant. Starr
immediately began setting up meetings with the top brass at
major record companies. Starr feels that Rhyant's new CD
"Tomorrow" will give hope to the families who have
lost loved ones in India and Haiti hit by the Tsunami, and Baton
Rouge, Louisiana by hurricane Katrina and other parts of the
world, written and arranged by Jerome Rhyant and friend Paul
Kendall. It's a collage of great music and hit songs for the
whole family to enjoy. The titled single "Your Not
Alone" written by Bruce Hawes will encourage the hearts of
young men and women. Other producers and songwriters credited to
this hit CD include Carlo Pennisi and Wanda Xula. |
|
| Jerome
also recorded America's signature anthem "God Bless
America" with his up-tempo rendition that stands far beyond
all others who recorded before him. Another one of Jerome's
smash ballads entitled "Your Love" simply put "is
a true song of love". Other songs include the up-tempo
track "I Love You For Who You Are" and the one ballad
that you could never get enough of in the encouraging and sweet
mellow tune entitled "Put Your Trust". Maurice Starr
adamantly states he likes all of the songs and believes that
overall Jerome Rhyant's new CD project is incredibly produced,
arranged, and filled with hit songs. |
|
| And
with all that said, take notice and get ready for Jerome
Rhyant's new CD project "Ten Commandments". Jerome knows where
he has been in the past but he is most excited for where God is
about to take him in the future. |
